MENTORING
The main goal of Amy's
Place is to build caring, supportive relationships with street-involved
youth so they can choose to leave the streets. These relationships
become the foundation for youth to build more stability in their lives
and the pathway to HOPE.
Each Friday & Saturday night youth have the opportunity to take
part in interactive presentations given by community members and
participate in group discussions. These adults are sober role models
for youth to look to for support and encouragement.

YOUTH DRIVEN
Youth are the driving
force behind Amy's Place and make decisions from what kind of pizza to
order each week, to the topic of group presentations, what speakers to
invite, and which movies to watch.
When youth feel welcome
and valued as individuals, their self-esteem improves. They are
searching for saftety, understanding and validation.
